Frock Files | Half Bath Makeover

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

In dreaming up the new details of our half bathroom, I had to consider how it would fit in with the rest of the condo. Our main living area is painted a pale green-grey called Paris Rain, and as you know, the office is a charcoal grey called Kendall, so I knew I’d need to go with something subdued. We also have several reclaimed wood shelves and I wanted to bring in that element, along with a few fun pieces to make the space feel less like a boring shoebox. And since this is the bathroom our guests use, it needed to feel like a little oasis.

Tomorrow I’ll be unveiling the before and after photos from this mini facelift!

Interior Inspiration: Black + White

It all started with that top photo of the effortlessly elegant French kitchen. Then, over time, I mindlessly pinned more and more inspiration, until one day I realized that I’d pinned a good handful of black and white images without even realizing it. I’ve always loved color — I even painted my entryway turquoise once — but there’s something clean and refreshing about the minimalism and stark contrast of black and white.

For awhile now, I’ve been thinking about where in my home the black and white would work. I’ve finally found the perfect spot and I’ll be revealing its makeover this week! Until then, enjoy all of this inspiration and let me know what color palettes are inspiring you.
