14 Days of Love Giveaway | Eat Boutique

14 Days of Love Giveaway from Eat Boutique from Joy Uyeno on Vimeo.

Happy Valentine’s Week, friends! If you haven’t heard by now, I’ve teamed up with thirteen other incredible bloggers and each of us are hosting a giveaway each day up to Valentine’s Day. We’re calling the series 14 Days of Love — and the giveaways are pretty fabulous. You can follow along each day by liking the 14 Days of Love Facebook page.

Today it’s my turn, and I’m working with Eat Boutique to give away a custom foodie care package worth $185! Eat Boutique originally started as a respected food blog, but once owner Maggie Battista began putting together care packages featuring gourmet food from small batch vendors, they were so in-demand that she opened a shop. Today, the shop is thriving and Maggie is well-known for her spectacular local events. She’s even signed on with a publisher to pen a cookbook! All this couldn’t have happened to a nicer person, either. Maggie is a total bright light.

And for Frock Files, she’s put together a very special care package filled with all of her favorite things! While you can buy all kinds of care packages at Eat Boutique, and every item in this package is available a la cart in the shop, this specific package is the Maggie Special, created just for you. Everything I’ve tasted from the boutique has been mouthwatering and delightful. (My favorite are the Fixx Chocolates with praline crisp with passion fruit pate de fruits, which are pretty much two bites of heaven.) You’re in for a treat. Scroll down and leave a comment to enter the giveaway!

Since the video moves so quickly, here are all the items in this care package:

Evy Tea Green Tea Fig Pomegranate // Empire Mayonnaise Co. White Truffle // Sofra Rose Petal Jam // Simple and Crisp Pear Fruit Crisps // Fixx Chocolates: Andy’s Bar // Didi Davis Rose Sugar // Treat Bake Shop Spiced Pecans // EHChocolatier French Hot Chocolate // Morris Kitchen Syrups Grenadine // Boncora Biscotti

Here are all of the giveaways we’re hosting this month. I wish I could enter them all! So do it for me, will ya?

Tempur-Pedic Says the #ChoiceisYours

If I don’t get a solid eight hours of sleep, I turn into a grumpy zombie. This used to happen a lot when we had what I like to call “the brick mattress,” which I was convinced was just a box spring with an inch of padding on top. It was the kind of mattress that had me making excuses to sleep on the couch.

Initially, someone (ahem) wasn’t convinced we needed to get a Tempur-Pedic. So we went to try out the different memory foam mattresses – and then we laid on a Tempur-Pedic. Then we laid on all the Tempur-Pedic mattresses. Multiple Times. The salespeople began to hover, nervous that we would never leave the store.

Since the quality of my sleep has vastly improved, I don’t drink nearly as much coffee as I used to. My body doesn’t ache in weird places anymore. I can’t tell when James, an active sleeper, is moving around next to me. So in essence, it’s saved us on the costs of coffee, chiropractor appointments, and probable couples’ counseling. That’s a win-win-win.

Tempur-Pedic is releasing their new TEMPUR-Choice™ mattress, which features multiple adjustable comfort zones. I had the chance to lay on one this past weekend and I began plotting where else we could put another bed because I need one.

While I’m working on finding us a bigger house for our future Tempur-Pedic, you can enter the Tempur-Pedic Pin to Win contest for a chance to win one of your own.

Tempur-Pedic Choice is Yours Pinterest Challenge

Create a board reflecting the ways your and your partner’s design styles differ, then let Tempur-Pedic know about your board by posting a link on their Facebook page. If you win, you’ll score a TEMPUR-Choice™ Supreme Mattress plus a design consultation with Design Sponge’s Grace Bonney. Now I’m double jealous.

So get pinning!

Dress Up, Dress Down Summer Dresses

I can’t tell you how happy I am that the weather has finally warmed up and I don’t have to look at my jeans again for a good, long while. My closet is pretty well stocked with frocks for the summertime, but I know that I could quickly get tired of them if I keep wearing them the same way.

That’s why I love having a few styling options in mind to fancy up or make casual my dress-filled wardrobe this summer. So when Marigold invited me to participate in the Summer of No Pants series, it was a perfect opportunity to sit down and really think about what I have on hand to keep my current favorite dress fresh!

A Care Package From Paris!

For a Francophile who loves snail mail, few things are better than a cute package from Paris. When My Little Paris approached me to contribute to their magazine, I tried to be Parisian-girl cool but instead let out a giddy, Oui! To welcome me to their team, the ladies sent over a My Little Box containing all kinds of beautiful (and beautifully packaged) gifts. Here’s to adding a little bit of Parisian flair to your day!

Brunch Bagels Three Ways

Frock Files | Bagels Three Ways

Last weekend, we had two of our favorite people over for our favorite meal: brunch. Since I never know what people will be in the mood for, I like to offer lots of different toppings for bagels. This even makes things easy if you have friends who are eating gluten-free, since GF bagels are easier to come by these days.

Since we’re headed out of town tonight, I won’t be posting tomorrow. So I’m taking this opportunity to wish you a wonderful weekend with a little video to inspire your Saturday or Sunday brunch. Have a wonderful one, friends!

P.S. The perfect thing to accompany bagels? Coconut Butter Coffee. That’s right, butter in your coffee — and it’s actually amazing for you!
