packrat
I’ll admit it: I’m a bit obsessive when it comes to packing for trips. I travel so often that you would think I’d have stopped by now, but I haven’t. Every time there’s a trip on the horizon, I find myself gazing out of windows and staying awake at night thinking about what clothes I’ll pack, what shoes I’ll bring, and what I’ll wear on the plane. That last factor, of what to wear on the plane, is at the top of my list. Since airplanes are notoriously too cold, too hot, uncomfortable, cramped, and generally horrible, I like to prepare for anything. While I refuse to wear my pajamas on the plane (or anywhere outside of my apartment, for that matter), I do dress for comfort.
For this trip to London, I’ve decided on this dress by Splendid. The company does wonderful, simple designs made mostly of Modal, which is soft and easy to travel in. Like jersey, it can be rolled in a ball, and although it will come out wrinkled, it has enough weight to unwrinkle itself over the course of a few hours.

Of course, I will wear it with a pair of tights and pack a pair of socks, just in case. I’d also bring a jacket and wear these boots — the Frye Annie Harness Boot — to keep my toes toasty all the way across the pond.

What I love best about these boots is that they’re mid calf, which is really hard to find — particularly when you’re petite! Little girls unite!
