I am totally and completely in love with London, and I have been for several years now. Next week, I get to go back for a little visit, and in honor of my anglophilia (I know that’s not a word, but heck…) I’m doing a tribute to Burberry. Everywhere you go in London, there’s a Burberry knockoff, but the flagship store with all the genuine articles in it stands just across from Harrods, and you know what’s inside Harrods? Free Krispy Kreme donuts! Ooh, wait, sorry. I’m getting ahead of myself.

So, in honor of Burberry, I’m showing you all this very proper and very English plaid dress. I think it would be perfectly warm and cozy with some knit tights, a cardigan, and a cashmere scarf. Yummy richness.

And since this is obviously a fantasy, I’m pairing it with this classic Burberry trench…

But even in fantasies, too much of a good thing is boring, so I’m choosing these boots by Franco Sarto to finish off a perfectly autumnal British outfit.
