Today, it reached 63 degrees in Boston! Okay, so it was windy and rainy and generally miserable, but who cares?! It’s springtime! Temperatures are forecasted to fall back to the forties tomorrow, but for now I’m just happy that the sixties still exist. It allows me to dream about wearing dresses like this juicy number by BCBG.

Light dresses, I think, call for delicate, feminine jewelry. The next piece I want to get is this necklace by my friend Cathy, the designer of Vanilla Moon jewelry. Sooooo pretty!

Although I have absolutely nowhere to wear this dress, I must have it. This soft grey looks good on practically everyone, and paired with that juicy pink, there’s no way a girl could get the blues while wearing it.

I think this dress would be incredibly sweet with this pair of metallic flats by BCBG. At $200 they’re a little pricey, but I’m crossing my fingers that they’ll go on sale by the time I figure out where I’m going to wear this outfit…

Practically all of the fabulous, fashionable women in my life (you know who you are!) are working in offices where they need to look professional each day, so I’ve decided to dedicate this post to the awesome BCBG line of chic office wear. Unlike a lot of the other work clothing that I’ve looked at, BCBG has a whole bunch of clothes that let a girl have some fun and personality in her look without losing out on the whole “I’m very busy and important” aspect.
The Silk Cotton Dress looks like a blouse and skirt, but it’s tricky that way, which keeps you from having to worry all day about making sure your shirttails aren’t sticking out. I love the collar and the little, slightly puffed sleeves of the silk cotton voile top, and the line of the pin striped pencil skirt is divine. The only thing I’m not so sure about is how the pleats work on a girl with hips…but heck, we’re not shopping for me.
I’m totally in love with this to-die-for Cotton Poplin Dress, which is a classy, unique take on the classic black shirtdress. First of all, I’m a die-hard fan of wrap around dresses, and I think this one does a great job of accentuating the smallest part of the waist without being bulky or too tight in undesirable areas. That, along with the full skirt and the slight puff in the shoulder seam, makes the dress feminine, but because of the color and the all-about-business collar and neckline, it’s still totally office appropriate.
Okay, and you all know I’d wear boots with these, because I’m obsessed; however, since this office appropriate business isn’t for me, might I suggest the amazingly hot Becki pumps by Steve Madden? These are so sexy, in fact, that I might become a pump convert (but only for a few hours, dear boots)!
