When I was a little girl, my mom used to go to a boutique in Honolulu called Lady Judith almost every weekend. My sister and I liked the ladies who worked there, and I enjoyed hunting for fallen pins in the carpeting while my mom tried on dresses. I also liked trying on the sweet cupcake-like dresses that they brought in for little girls; I loved the way the fabric felt going over my head, the way the skirts puffed out when I spun around, and the fact that I instantly felt like a different person in them. I fell in love with dresses then, and despite years of flings with jeans and slacks and skirts, my loyalty has always been to the frocks.

While there are some fabulous blogs dedicated to purses, shoes, and fashion in general, I had a difficult time finding anything about dresses specifically. I wanted to create a place where I could share all of the exciting new shops, designers, and websites I’ve been finding, while showcasing the best that those resources have to offer. A blog also seemed like a good space to promote the fashion of celebrities who embody the things that I admire  strength, intelligence, and grace.

Frock Files is still blossoming, and I hope that it will become an active community of dress lovers who will share their own finds, tips, and tools. The blog is updated daily, to bring readers the freshest in dresses, celebrity fashion, real world fashionista picks, and more. Besides looking at designer fashions, we’re always on a search for good deals, as well, bringing readers the best of both designer and bargain shopping.
