{a la}
undays are my favorite day of the week for lots of reasons. I love brunch. I love the fat edition of the New York Times. I love sitting down to plan out meals for the rest of the week (although I don’t like going to the grocery store on Sundays, when all the crazies are there). That’s why I’ve decided to begin sharing some of my favorite things from the week with you on Sundays — so you’ll have something good to read, a few new cooking ideas, and maybe some inspiration before a new week begins. Here are my discoveries of the week:
Check out what you can do with 330 square feet. Living large has never really appealed to me, but living small really does. Maybe not this small, but I’m kind of enamored with the idea of packing this much style into such a teensy flat.
Banana splits for breakfast? Yes, please. I’m getting a little tired of my berry/spinach/almond milk smoothie in the mornings, so I think it’s time to mix it up with this luscious (and healthy!) option.
This video made me cry happy tears. Okay, so maybe I’m a little hormonal. But still, this is one of the more thoughtful things I’ve ever seen.
Did you know that I was a guest over at Bring Joy this past week? You’ll see that I’m a little obsessed with autumn fashion, as it’s both here and there. Yesterday morning, I saw an orange leaf fluttering and got excited about it until I realized it was a butterfly. Hmmph. Still summer.
Oh, Anthropologie! You shouldn’t have. (Then again, it’s about time.)
Delicious & simple. Mr. J requested something with shrimp this week, so I hunted down this super easy recipe. Don’t skip the cashews; they really make the dish.
And have you heard the latest cooking craze involves growing your own mold as a seasoning? I’m not sure what to think about that either. Check out the article — and then please do share your thoughts!
And, as always, thanks so much for your friendship and support. Happy Sunday!

Might have to grow my own mold now!
My mom actually just bought it — I’ll let you know what she thinks!
Love this post – we will definitely be trying those breakfast banana splits! Well, maybe J will and I’ll poke at his (I’m not supposed to have fruit in the morning…stupid diabeetuss).
That fried rice looks devine, but I will publicly admit I’m asian and I am scared of fish sauce. I love things that have fish sauce in them, but I’m guilty of buying it and then immediately tossing it because I can’t handle the instant fish smell bomb in my house. Is there an adult way to handle this?
Shio koji eh? I bet it’s delish. We will have to investigate…hopefully it doesn’t go the way of my great fermented beet juice experiment…
Can you have fruit in the evenings? I bet this would be great as dessert too. Or after the baby is born…? SOON! As for the fish sauce dilemma, I’ve found that putting it in the fridge keeps it from being stinky. It also helps to wipe down the bottle with some warm, soapy water after using it, just to sop up any residue that might have come out. And you’ll have to fill me in on this beet juice incident. It sounds…scary. xo
I am already loving your sunday post series! That 330 square foot home is so chic, and I love the idea of a greek yogurt banana split!
What a cute post!
The banana split yogurt thing sounds AND looks incredible. I’ll have to check out that YT proposal video, and I seriously wish I rich enough to buy everything at Anthropologie, including the entire furniture/home decor section, haha, I love that store too much.
I love this post. And that banana split? Be still my every beating heart.
