I have to admit that this post is built around the shoes, and not the dress…but isn’t that just the way life goes sometimes? I’ll start with the dress, though, so that you guys can get inspired for spring — even if it is another two months away.

A couple of weeks ago, I ducked into the Arsenal Mall (within 15 minutes from my place) and saw that they’re about to open a Forever 21…it was like Christmas all over again! Fingers crossed that this adorable dress is on the racks come opening day. At this moment, the only place I could really wear it is in my own apartment, but I have faith that someday the temperatures will reach above 40 and the tulips will be bursting with color!

Of course, 40-degrees still isn’t warm enough to go outside without tights and a jacket! I love a classic trench, and this one from the Gap is pretty perfect.

But it’s these boots (Vinter Skerry by Tretorn) that I’m totally head over heels crazy about! I just bought them in blue, but I’m wild about these pink ones too. They’re the ingenious product of rain wellies mixed with snow boots. Adorable, colorful rubber on the outside, and cozy, fuzzy softness on the inside. I wore these in the sloppy slush outside and my toes were perfectly toasty!
