tee time

Yes, ladies, it’s that time again – time to meet a fabulous new designer from the world of Etsy. This week we’re traveling all the way to the Midwest to meet Paul Baker, artist and owner of a small T-shirt line called Basho Apparel. Before you’re all, “What?! T-shirts???” let me tell ya this: a T-shirt dress is absolutely one of the most versatile pieces of clothing you’ll ever have. And on top of that, Baker does some seriously sweet things with his line, and each one is individually printed by Baker himself.

I especially like this red boatneck shift with the line drawing from Basho’s “women with birds” collection. The shape of it nicely skims your frame, while the neckline makes it a little bit elegant. While it would be totally appropriate for meeting up with your girlfriends for drinks, it’s also comfy enough to throw on in lieu of sweats to go to the market.

I’m also wild about the black deep V-neck “little makers” dress, with the turquoise print on the front. This one’s a little bit tighter, a little bit sexier, but would also look sweet with a pair of skinny jeans and some flats, or even layered over a long sleeved tee.

Oh, and if Basho’s Etsy store is out of something, don’t fret! Paul and his team advertise on their site that they’ll get you what you want, it might just take a bit longer. With each of these dresses selling for just $36 a pop, and being as hot as they are, it’s definitely worth the wait.

  1. I never thought I’d see the day where you’d post something complimentary about an item with a bird on it! Love the bolohead model, too! :)
